Before engaging into a renovation, you must establish the characteristics that you would love to see in your new kitchen. The kitchen shouldn’t be considered just a useful room. Certainly, it must be functional, but it can be beautiful and pleasant to look at.

Depending on your choice of furniture: wood, metal, wall colors, furniture pieces, your kitchen can change dramatically.

Fitted kitchen: water and gas

Do not forget that certain appliances in the fitted kitchen need special plugs. The washing machine and dishwasher will be placed next to a water source and an evacuation system. If these need replacing, it must be done with priority, before installing the cupboards in the kitchen.

Fitted kitchen: electrical outlets

Also consider the number of outlets that will be needed and their location. In a fitted kitchen, most of them should be placed on the wall, over the working board to branch the small appliances.
Plan to build a long power cord into the wall of the kitchen in order to be able to install extra outlets later. These electrical arrangements must be done before installing the wall coverings.
Similarly, the installation of a fan or a hood in the kitchen will require making a hole in the exterior wall or an opening in a window.
